Refund policy

Last updated: October 20, 2026

Payments are final

ChatDocument plans are subscriptions paid monthly or yearly in advance. Once a payment is made, it is final and is not refunded, in whole or in part, including for unused questions, pages, seats or days left in the billing period. Please try the one-time demo and read the plan limits on the pricing page before you subscribe.

Exceptions

We refund a payment only in these cases:

  • Duplicate charge: you were charged twice for the same subscription period. We refund the extra charge.
  • Unauthorized charge: a charge was made without your authorization and this is confirmed after we review it. We refund that charge and secure the account.
  • Complete service failure: the service was entirely unavailable to you for reasons on our side and we could not restore it. We refund the affected period.

Cancelling your subscription

You can cancel at any time in your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not refund the current period, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Moving to a lower plan takes effect from the next renewal and does not refund the difference.

Consumers in the European Union

If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a contract for digital services. At checkout you are asked to agree that the service starts immediately and to acknowledge that your right of withdrawal ends once it does. When you give that agreement, the right of withdrawal ends when your subscription starts. Business customers do not have this statutory right.

How to ask

Email [email protected] from the address on your account. Include the date and amount of the charge and a short description of the problem. We reply within a few business days. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method, and the time until they appear depends on your bank or card issuer.
