ChatDocument

Due diligence AI that reads the data room with you

A data room arrives with hundreds of contracts, financial statements, corporate records and policies, and the review team has days, not weeks. ChatDocument answers questions across the whole set, cites the document and page behind each statement, builds review tables from many files at once, and tells you plainly when the data room does not contain an answer.

For deal teams, corporate development and advisors

  • Material contracts with customers, suppliers and partners
  • Financial statements, management accounts and tax filings
  • Corporate records, cap table documents and board minutes
  • Employment agreements, option plans and HR policies
  • Leases, insurance policies, licences and permits
  • Scanned historical documents, read with OCR

Questions to put to the whole data room

  • Which customer contracts contain a change of control clause, and what does each require?
  • Are there any exclusivity or non-compete obligations binding the target?
  • What guarantees or security has the target given to lenders?
  • Which leases expire within the next 24 months?
  • Do the board minutes record any approval of related-party transactions?
  • Where do the financial statements disclose pending litigation?

Review the data room in spaces, tables and cited answers

Create a space per deal and upload the data room export, or connect the folder from Google Drive, SharePoint and OneDrive or Dropbox so late additions sync on a schedule. Keep separate spaces for workstreams such as commercial, finance, legal and HR.

  • Extract to table: run every material contract against columns such as Counterparty, Contract type, Term end, Change of control, Assignment, Exclusivity, Termination rights, Liability cap and Governing law. Each cell links to its page. Business extracts up to 250 documents per run, Enterprise up to 1,000. Export to XLSX or CSV for the review memo.
  • Cited answers across hundreds of files, each statement with its document and page, checked in code against the source before it is shown.
  • Compare: put the signed contract and its amendments side by side, or two versions of a disclosure document. See compare documents ai.
  • Summaries: section by section summaries of key agreements, every line cited. See summarize documents with ai.
  • Audit log on Business and Enterprise records who asked what in the deal space.

Missing documents are part of the finding

If the data room does not answer a question, ChatDocument says so and shows the closest passages it checked. That gap becomes the next item on your request list, instead of an answer made up from general knowledge.

Plans for deal size

Data rooms are large, so page limits matter. A new page counts once per billing period, and a scanned page counts as 3.

  • Team, 149 USD per month or 74 USD per month billed yearly (888 USD a year): 5 seats, 8,000 new pages a month, extract up to 50 documents per run. Fits a small deal with a short contract list.
  • Business, 499 USD per month or 249 USD per month billed yearly (2,988 USD a year): 15 seats, 30,000 pages, 7,000 pooled questions, extract up to 250 documents per run, audit log.
  • Enterprise, 1,490 USD per month or 745 USD per month billed yearly (8,940 USD a year): 50 seats, 100,000 pages, 20,000 pooled questions, extract up to 1,000 documents per run, SSO (SAML), SLA 99.9 and invoice billing.
  • Starter at 49 USD per month or 24 USD per month billed yearly (288 USD a year) suits a single advisor reviewing a short document set.

Full limits are on chat with pdf pricing.

Diligence judgment stays with your team

ChatDocument finds and quotes what the documents say. It does not give legal, tax or investment advice, it does not value the target, and it does not replace the judgment of the lawyers, accountants and deal leads who sign the report. Read the cited page before a finding goes into a memo. For ongoing contract work after closing, see ai contract review and ai financial document analysis.

FAQ

Can several advisors work in the same deal space?

Yes. Invite them with the role they need. Askers can ask and read answers, editors can also add documents, owners manage members.

Is our deal data used to train models?

No. Documents are encrypted in transit and at rest and never used to train models. Documents and their index are deleted on request or when the space is deleted.

What happens to the documents after the deal closes?

Delete the space. Documents and the index are removed, and backups are cleared within 30 days.
